For the sauerkraut I chopped bacon into small pieces and cooked it. Then I diced half an onion and added that, stirring it in. After the bacon had cooked I added a chopped apple. Then I dumped the sauerkraut on top and mixed it. Next I added a stick of cinnamon, cloves, and all spice. The pictures are in order from end to beginning.
Everyone loved Laurel's sauerkraut. Her brothers liked it better than mine (she used a LOT more bacon).
