The highest position is Bundespräsident, however this person doesn’t do a lot and merely represents Germany in public, though they have to approve new laws.
The second highest position is the Bundeskanzler, this person is lower than the Bundespräsident but has more power than them.
Bundesregierung is the group of people who run the main parts of the government, the Bundeskanzel leads this group and consists of 16 people.
Deutscher Bundestag is the parliament, they are elected by citizens. It contains a minimum of 598 members. A term is four years and there is no limitation on how many times you can be reelected. This is run by the Bundestagspräsident. They write the new laws, elect the Bundeskanzler, have power over the Germany army, represent the German citizens, and have a say in the election of the Bundespräsident.
